So I have a question, let me know what you guys think about this: I know that the bible says that we're supposed to love others, but at what points do acts of service, etc surpass love and become us allowing others to push us around? Where are the boundaries on that? How do we know?

I think that loving other people is a decision we make. If you are preforming an act of service out of love, than it is still love. When you are doing it because you think you have to, it is no longer love.
It is really hard to tell when you are being taken advantage of sometimes. It may be that they have a different love language than you and you are both misunderstanding each other. Bring it up if you can.
I probably didn't answer what you were asking, but I thought I would try anyways.
Hmmm...i think i know what you mean. From my experience, an act of service is something that's pleasing to whoever you're serving. If i served a vegetarian a prime rib steak that i slaved over for 4 hours, it wouldn't be showing love. I'd make that person feel uncomfortable and awkward and terrified of wronging me. and that's not a fun position to be in, is it?
If i served that steak, it would show that i didn't take the time to find out the needs or wants of that person.
That said, mistakes happen, miscommunication happens, and awkwardness happens. (my existence is living testimony to this!) My goal is to find out the needs of others, and when the time comes, make my needs known.
Hope my ramblings made *some* sense.
*PS: i like Steak*
You dance beautifully.
Hmm I love the idea behind this website, very unique.
